IT'S THE GRAVY MAN !

We are cooking our bird on the grill. This has worked for us for years. The only problem is the gravy. Wood chips and ashes usually make it to our dripping pan. The turkey drippings are laced with harsh and bitter remnants. Gravy is one of the best components of Thanksgiving. It is a link to gather all the parts of the meal together. Jello salad and pumpkin pie can be kicked up a notch with a little spot of gravy. Gravy makes the world go round.
The culprit used was picked up at Trader Joe's. Boxed Gravy, I am so sorry, Dr. Biggles, to let you down. Every thing will be so good. I am a gravy looser!!!!!

Please ignore my weeping. Boxed gravy? I don't know which is the greater crime. Using boxed gravy or using Kitchen Bouquet to achieve the "proper" color for your gravy. Then again, who am I to talk? I ordered my meal this year.

Well, I'll tell ya what, ChileBrown. I used to enjoy a can of turkey gravy pretty much. I think it was Franco-American.
So I am not averse to trying your boxed version.
However, today I am totally making my own turkey gravy! Yay! It's all about the gravy.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for making ME weep with that photo of the pie.

Just make all the chicks weep. Go ahead. You know you enjoy it.

OK, now that you're finished enjoying it, I'm taking the pie hostage.

Hmmmm. That's why I don't smoke my turkeys, no gravy.

We had plenty of fresh turkey gravy. My sister even made a butter roux the day before to enliven the sucker up! GRAVY ON EVERYTHING !!!

Now? I need to deep fry one.
